where were you when the last episode of m a s h aired ?

 i was in georgetown on february 28, 1983 watching it in my friend's brother's dorm room

only my memories are as f'ed as dr ford's and her friend leland keyser's, who says she doesn't remember the party dr ford recalls being assaulted at but not certain important details of

the one thing all 3 of our memories possibly have in common is traumatic dissociative amnesia since both dr ford and leland keyser both apparently had very traumatic experiences

mine was more simple i fell off a roof  3 years later and lost part of my memory in which may have been a plot mechanic in a science fiction story and even though as far as i could tell, i didn't injure my head

i had no headache or scrapes indicating i had hit the pavement with my head just a broken knee

but for some reason i forgot a girl i had dated who i really liked  and had just met 2 months earlier

then i read that traumatic shock causes amnesia

my friend dave and i had ridden with dave's brother tim in their family's woody station wagon from massachusetts to the college timmy was attending

tim had a broken foot with a cast on so he drove using the cruise control lever as the gas pedal

we were supposed to drive the car back

i remember riding through maryland and washington and seeing the really nice colonial homes thinking it was a very nice place to live

only i look at tim's fb and it says he was at providence college in rhode island all 4 years...

one of tim's roomates while he was at whatever college it was was one of the getty heirs, and from what i once found out, he may have been the younger brother of the getty who had been kidnapped and had his ear cut off and he might be the getty who created getty images

i remember him well, because he allegedly asked timmy's 16 year old sister to marry him, and she said no

but then my memory might be pretty messed up, as you can see here

the reason i remember it as georgetown was because patrick ewing was the most famous college player at the time and i remember looking out the window onto the campus thinking patrick ewing's out there somewhere

also, i think tim transferred to providence

tim's sister was a paul newman fan

the daily mail says a relative of leland says she had 14 operations on her head, neck and back as a result of the undisclosed injury

head coach of the georgetown womens' golf team leland married the team's assisstant coach john keyser in 2004, a year before her neck injury
